NEW BRANCH – NEW PROJECT – SOUTH AFRICA

CERAFILTEC takes pride to announce the opening of CERAFILTEC South Africa. The entity, located in Gauteng, Kempton Park, received its first project order last week already.

The CERAFILTEC technology will be implemented in a brownfield project replacing a settler system followed by a pressurized polymeric ultrafiltration membrane. The existing system reached its performance limits due to the changed raw water characteristic of the brackish groundwater source. CERAFILTEC engineering provided a process concept to reduce hardness and to remove the precipitants including colloidal silica by using ceramic flat sheet membranes. Due to the very compact design, the plant capacity will be increased by 50 % to a total filtered water flow of 1,680 m³/d.

The project execution is managed directly from the new entity in South Africa jointly with a local systems integrator.
