CERAFILTEC and HopeGood Strengthen Partnership to Advance Semiconductor Water Treatment in Taiwan

Cerafiltec, a global leader in ceramic ultrafiltration membrane technology, has strengthened its collaboration with HopeGood Taiwan to advance high-performance filtration solutions for the semiconductor industry in Taiwan, one of the world’s most important semiconductor manufacturing hubs.

Under the agreement, HopeGood will act as a preferred partner for Cerafiltec in the Taiwan market, focusing particularly on the semiconductor sector. HopeGood has established strong relationships with EPC contractors and end users in the semiconductor industry and provides filtration systems, hardware integration, and servicing of key filtration components.

HopeGood is a well-established filtration solution provider in Taiwan, representing leading international technology brands such as DuPont, Xylem, Energy Recovery, Asahi Kasei, and Pentair. Through this partnership, Cerafiltec’s advanced ceramic membrane technology will be integrated into HopeGood’s portfolio to address demanding industrial water treatment applications.

A key milestone in the collaboration was the successful piloting of Cerafiltec’s ceramic ultrafiltration membranes for semiconductor back-grind wastewater treatment. The pilot demonstrated excellent filtration performance and operational stability, confirming the suitability of ceramic membranes for challenging semiconductor wastewater streams.

The successful pilot opens the door for broader implementation across semiconductor fabrication facilities and related industrial applications. In addition to the completed pilot, several suitcase tests have already been carried out, with additional testing programs currently in the pipeline as both companies continue to explore new opportunities in advanced industrial water treatment.

Beyond the well-known longevity of ceramic membranes, the solution also delivers significant advantages from both a CapEx and OpEx perspective. Higher flux and compact system design reduce upfront investment requirements, while exceptional durability, reduced cleaning frequency, and stable long-term performance contribute to lower operating costs, making ceramic ultrafiltration a highly competitive and future-proof choice for semiconductor water treatment.

“Taiwan is a strategic market for semiconductor manufacturing and advanced water treatment technologies,” said Torsten Wintergerste, CEO of Cerafiltec. “Working together with HopeGood allows us to combine their strong local market presence and technical expertise with Cerafiltec's durable ceramic membrane technology to deliver reliable, sustainable filtration solutions for one of the most demanding industries.”

“We are very pleased to strengthen our partnership with Cerafiltec. Their ceramic membrane technology delivers exceptional durability and performance, particularly for demanding semiconductor wastewater applications. Through this collaboration, HopeGood is committed to providing more reliable, sustainable, and high-performance water treatment solutions to our semiconductor clients in Taiwan,” as stated by Paul Lin, General Manager of HopeGood Taiwan.

By combining advanced engineering with sustainable innovation, Cerafiltec delivers reliable, high-performance filtration solutions that enable cleaner water, higher plant capacity, and lower operational costs.

Driven by the vision of a water-secure planet, Cerafiltec leads the way in the new ceramic era of water treatment systems.
